Some favorites
Books
Books I recommend include:
Food
I love ramen, the pizzas and waffles at Fruitive, and mushrooms. Check out my creamy vegan oil-free ramen recipe. More on my plant-based diet here.
Government Mascot
Did you know the U.S. Forest Service has an official anti-pollution mascot who teaches kids about composting?? Woodsy Owl is Smokey Bear’s buddy and teaches kids the 4 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot.
Japanese Lessons
Shoutout to the incomparable Japanese Ammo with Misa for superb language lessons featuring Pikachu.
Live Stand Up Comedy
I am a fan of live stand up and have seen many great shows. The hardest I’ve laughed non-stop at a stand up comedy show (after Carrot Top) is Tig Notaro.
Podcasts
My favorite podcasts include The Daily, The Ezra Klein Show, and Up First. Old favorites include the Daily Show with Trevor Noah: Ears Edition and The Ron Burgundy Podcast.
Superpower
I have the remarkable power, most certainly inherited from my dad, to take refreshing cat naps that last minutes, sometimes mere seconds.
Theme Song
Knots Landing
TV
My favorite TV shows include Broad City, Key & Peele, Last Week Tonight, Schitt’s Creek, and Ted Lasso. A favorite to watch with pals is Sex Education and America’s Got Talent golden buzzer videos.
Weakness
I’m prone to snapping off the clips on pens.
